Precise Property Data with UPRN Matching

The Challenge

A client in the building industry approached Hopewiser with a unique data requirement: they needed full address details and geographic coordinates (longitude and latitude) for a series of new properties.

The only identifier they had at the time was the UPRN (Unique Property Reference Number), no postcodes, no street names, just raw UPRNs.

They wanted accurate location data from a UPRN alone.

The Solution

Using Hopewiser’s AtlasBatch processing tool, we ran the client’s UPRN file against our enriched datasets – Royal Mail’s Multiple Residence and Ordnance Survey’s Open Data. This enabled us to:

Match each UPRN to its corresponding full address label
Provide precise longitude and latitude coordinates at premise level
Deliver a clean, structured output ready for integration into their systems

The results met the client’s needs of accurate, granular location data from minimal input.
