Tell us a bit about yourself..
I started here in the New Year on the Business and Admin Apprenticeship. I previously worked in retail for 19 years as a Team Manager, but after being made redundant I wanted a new challenge.
Why did you apply for the apprenticeship at Hopewiser?
I applied for the Apprenticeship at Hopewiser because I like to keep learning new skills. It’s great that it is something I’m able to do this far along in my working life, and I’m enjoying it.
What skills can you bring to this role?
I think I have transferable skills such as good organisation and time management. From my time in retail I have developed good communication and interpersonal skills, and I enjoy working as part of a team.
This is only your 2nd week, how have you settled in so far?
I feel I have settled in very well, everyone has been really welcoming and are helping me to learn many different aspects of the business. I’m grateful to them for taking time out of their schedules to help me on my journey.
