A Very Merry Christmas Message 2022

It’s Christmas time once again!

2022 started with a lot of hope, given the belief that the pandemic was over, in the world stopping form it had been for the previous two years. Life felt like it should get back to some sort of normality and many of the projects put on hold due to the uncertainty, could start again and life could move forwards again. However, obviously Putin, the government and everything else had other ideas, so we have had another year of turbulence and change, causing further uncertainty. At times we have seen projects restart and move forwards, other times they have been stopped or put on hold indefinitely, which has made the year hard, possibly harder than the pandemic ones.

Internally though, we have pushed on with our own projects, with a number coming to fruition, plus getting back to areas I enjoy, with having more learning and training going on, including having three people on work experience, recruiting two NVQ apprentices and someone else join us on their gap year, plus we recruited the son of a former employee. Alongside this, then we have welcomed two babies into the Hopewiser family, gone through our 40th Anniversary, continued to support Widnes Vikings and started sponsoring the AGSB eSports team, who are exceptional.

2023 is shaping up to be another interesting year, with our focus being on the services, including improving how and what we are offering, with regards to data. There are plans afoot to refresh the website, whilst plenty of training is already booked in, to increase the knowledge across the company. Widnes are looking good, so it will be great to see plenty of shots of players scoring tries with Hopewiser on their backs.

Hopefully this winter of discontent, will be made glorious by a change in fortune across the world, with the clouds that have threatened the life we know, buried far below.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
