Our selection process was fairly simple, we already knew of the Bank Validation functionality offered by HopeWiser when we decided we wanted to incorporate this into our Direct Debit process and since we already had a good working relationship with HopeWiser, due to our use of the address lookup API, we knew we could trust the solution.
The bank validation API allows us to shift to a paperless Direct Debit solution because our members can validate their bank accounts in real time, as they set up their direct debit instructions. This essentially allows us to automate the set up process as we no longer have to send paper forms out to our members.
We have been able to speed up each Mortgage application by a number of days. The forms are completed in real time and received immediately into our system. This has eliminated delivery time for paper forms. It also means we are able to return the forms in real time further speeding up the mortgage application.
