The Rugby Football Union (RFU) has been a client since 2004 and is still very much a client today. It promotes and governs the whole of English rugby union. England is the largest rugby playing nation in the world, with nearly 2,000 clubs and 3,000 affiliated schools, and nearly 700,000 active players of all ages. That’s almost a quarter of all clubs in the top 10 rugby-playing countries.
Twickenham Stadium is the Home of England Rugby, the headquarters of the RFU and one of the foremost sports and concert venues in Europe. The stadium has a spectator capacity of 82,000 and the site includes a 156-bedroom hotel, a leisure club, conference and banqueting facilities, a performing arts centre, a rugby store and office accommodation, all of which makes the stadium a 365-day-a-year business with a large database that has to be looked after.
Hopewiser’s software has been integral to the capturing and maintenance of much of this data for over 10 years. As an example AtlasRAINS is used within the RFU website (www.englandrugby.com) and their Game Management System which is the membership system for every rugby club in England. They also use AtlasBatch, which is embedded within their CRM, to verify large amounts of addresses from multiple sources. This ensures optimisation of postal discounts for bulk mailings and accuracy of campaign communications.
“We are a large organisation with many activities and businesses under the banner of the RFU. It is imperative that our data is accurate and to this end we have worked successfully with Hopewiser for many years. The level of service we receive is extremely high and using their software, embedded into our systems has saved a significant amount of money on inaccurate deliveries of goods, returned mailings and brand reputation.”
