Downstream Access

Introduced in early 2003, Downstream Access enables transport operators (other than Royal Mail) to move mail throughout the UK to Royal Mail Inward Mail Centres where Royal Mail completes the final end delivery.

With the full deregulation of the postal market in January 2006, posting clients have the opportunity to take advantage of additional services, e.g. selection of alternative delivery agents from Royal Mail to increase quality of service and reduce costs.

The product works directly with third party partners who provide direct downstream access services, for example TNT.
