Database Management
Address Loader is a revolutionary addressing tool which combines data cleansing, master file creation and DTF creation to create a central control for database manipulation.
Data Cleansing
Address Loader can call upon any of the addressing tools within the Atlas Suite direct from the user interface. The Atlas suite is designed for the cleaning of address files, deduplication and formatting for matching, correcting and enhancing virtually any database of address records against a detailed master file such as PAF, Address Point or LLPG/NLPG.
A selection of Atlas suite management components includes:
- AtlasBatch – Cleansing, verification, correction and enhancement of addresses
- AtlasClean – Interactive address correction tool
- AtlasDedupe – Identifies and removes duplicate records
- AtlasConvert – Database conversion and merging

Master File Creation
MAF Build
MAF (Master Address File) is a set of files, which can be used with other Hopewiser products to base future address matching against.
The MAF build allows the creation of a master file tailored to the user's specifications.
This is achieved by using the following processes:
- 1. DTF_xref is an optional process. The program generates a cross-reference source code file coupled with a letter.
- 2. AddrGen creates an address file from a Data Transfer Format (DTF) file.
Processes 1 and 2 combine to create an address file.
- 3. LAPrePro converts a file of addresses into a HAF (Hopewiser Address File).
- 4. LOAD converts the HAF into a MAF which can be used as a set of master files.
Processes 3 and 4 takes this address file and create a set of master address files for use in Atlas Suite.
- LoadExactAddr is an optional process which can generate an extra MAF file, which allows the user to view the address as held in its original form.

Street MAF Build
The Street MAF files are a set of files that can be incorporated with other Hopewiser products to base future matching against at street level.
The Street MAF build allows creation of a master file tailored to the user's specifications.
The Street Build process uses the programmes within the 'Load' process to generate a set of MAF files that are based on street level.
The Town and District build creates user-specified Town and District files, including adding specific misspellings this allows the product to 'learn' about problems specific to the user.
DTF Creation
The 'Record Creator' generates NLPG records, which are compliant with Data Transfer Format (DTF) 6.3
Records created:
- Type 11 (Street Records)
- Type 21 (Basic Land and Property Unit Records)
- Type 22 (Provenance Records)
- Type 23 (Cross-reference Records)
- Type 24 (Land and Property Identifier Records)
DTF_Edit allows the user to make decisions on LPIs where alternative LPIs are available.

DTF Maintenance
The DTFDiff process is used to maintain and update DTF files. It compares the records from an old DTF file against a new DTF file and generates a series of Change Only Update files based on the differences.

Scripts
The script wizard allows updating and maintenance of NLPG/LLPG/DTF and other databases through the use of various scripts. Scripts can be tailored specifically to the user's needs and added to the appropriate files. Output files can be viewed without leaving the Address Loader interface.
