AtlasSort

AtlasSort gives easy access to the full range of mail sortation services offered by Royal Mail. These services allow the user to obtain discounts for large volume mailings, which normally pay for the software very quickly.

AltasSort carries on the Hopewiser modular approach, allowing the purchase of only those services required, but incorporates Service Streaming to maximise discounts.

AtlasSort is designed to have the same look and feel as Hopewiser's address management software suite Atlas for Windows. The AtlasSort product incorporates all of the features of the former Mailsort for Windows product, the new directives issued by the Royal Mail, and has useful additions based on past customer feedback designed to ease use.

Pricing in Proportion

AtlasSort caters for the vast changes in the way in which Royal Mail now calculate mailing prices according to mailpiece size in addition to mailpiece weight. This system is referred to as Pricing In Proportion (PIP).

Technical Information

Core software engine is written in C.
'Off the shelf' Windows version with full graphical user interface.
Command-driven C API available for integrated development on Windows, Unix, Mainframe and other platform environments.

Consistent and standardised – Same user-friendly look and feel as other products within the full Atlas for Windows software range. Requires minimal operator training.
PIP Compliant – Software fully compliant with Pricing in Proportion service requirements (enforced from August 2006).
Command line capability – Basic interface to allow preconfigured set-ups to be executed from the command line which provides easier incorporation within automated run streams.
Service Streaming – Allows multiple services to be run consecutively within one run allowing users to maximise on all discounts available through multiple service thresholds. For example, intelligently identifying data that meets the minimum Walksort penetration level, then passing the Walksort residue to the Mailsort process.
Annual Maintenance – Provides automatic Mailsort and Walksort database updates.
Bag Labeller – Easy and simple to use Bag Labeller utility allowing for the generation of bag and bundle labels.
Address Labeller – Additional product included to allow for the simple generation of address labels.
