Hopewiser Reaches 15 Print
This year Hopewiser has turned 15 years old and in many ways the history of the company has been the history of the address management industry.
The company started it all in 1982 with the first commercially available software products which used the PAF (Postal Addressing File) in a way which produced real financial benefits to the market.
Initially only available on mainframes Hopewiser established the market before many other modern day Address Software Companies were even formed.
The increased power and availability of of PC's saw the introduction of PC versions of the address management software. Hopewiser ensured their software was not just adapted for the PC market the software was in fact redeveloped.
In the Autumn of 1987 we introduced our first systems for the PC, the Royal Mail in fact being the first customer, using the system to start an ambitious project of postcoding the telephone directories.
